Breakfast, the morning after

I ate too many hot filled rolls last night. But, dear guest, my pain is all for your benefit.

We have now perfected our soon-to-be-famous BHT (bacon, haggis and tomato) and we think we’re on to something with a creation I’ve dubbed the ‘nae neeps’ – that’s haggis and a tattie scone. Non-Scots feel free to ask what that all means!

Jenny has long insisted there would be something deliciously decadent about frying a potato scone on the griddle and then serving it up in a toasted roll. It may not be Masterchef material but it will certainly get your boiler stoked for a day on the West Highland Way.

For those of you who don’t like haggis (although I can’t understand why!), non-haggis options will be available. I need to eat a few more hot filled rolls while I sort that out.

Those of you who follow our Facebook page will have seen that Robert got his chance to try out the hut last night. His verdict was that the hut is excellent and he wants to sleep in it again, but that I snore and make a sound like a snuffly hedgehog. I blame the hot filled rolls.
