For the second time in a month, the Shepherd’s House is without power due to violent storms bringing down our power lines. Still, the work goes on and thinking ahead to our 2012 season is a great way of forgetting today’s troubles!
There’s plenty to do as we continue to work towards bringing our first Shepherd’s Hut to the Shepherd’s House next month. We’ve now chosen the wood for the floor and the handles for the door and windows. Our builder has sourced a set of genuine vintage shepherd’s hut wheels for us. Today, I’ve been scouring the interwebs for local suppliers of railway sleepers so we can build a base for the hut that’s strong but fits in with its surroundings.
The miracle of technology means we can continue to take bookings even while the leccy is off, but please use the enquiry form, or email us, if you want to ask about staying with us as we can’t answer the phone at present.
Jenny and I hope you had a peaceful Christmas and would like to wish you a very happy new year. Let’s hope 2012 is the year you get a chance to come and stay with us at the Shepherd’s House!
