This evening’s blog entry comes to you live from the Shepherd’s Rest, our brand new en suite shepherd’s hut, which is due to enter service in a little under two weeks. The children are tucked up in bed in the house and gran is on overnight babysitting duty, so Jenny and I at last can experience what our guests have signed up for!
It’s been a busy couple of weeks, installing such mundane things as towel rails and a toilet roll holder. You would be amazed how much thought has to go into the location of all that stuff in a compact shepherd’s hut bathroom! We thought we had it all sussed until two minutes ago when Jenny decided to give the shelves a proper road test and emptied out her wash bag. Now we know for sure that we’re going to have to put the second glass shelf – which we thought would be surplus to requirements – into service. Dear reader, I had a shower in there not 10 minutes earlier and I honestly didn’t notice. Just as well we’re both on the case.
Now to bed, to sleep, perchance to dream … More news tomorrow once we’ve had the full experience. Night night!
