The suite can accommodate one child aged 5 or under, staying with you.  The shepherd’s rest is not suitable for children of any age.

We remember the trouble we had as a new family, trying to find places to stay, and we want to do as much as we can to help you.  This is what we can do:

  1. We will alter the furniture layout in the bedroom to accommodate either our inflatable ready-bed (for children aged 3-5 inclusive) or our own wooden cot (for infants aged 0-2 inclusive).  There is not room for both of these, and there is not room for your own travel cot; travel cots are usually too wide to fit comfortably.
  2. We will provide a baby bath, change mat and high chair.
  3. Your child stays at no extra cost to you.

Despite our best efforts (and we have tried it in the past), the suite is not suitable for families with children older than 5, or families with more than one child, regardless of age.

Because we have to move furniture to accommodate your child’s bed/cot, you must tell us you need this at time of booking.  If you don’t, it simply won’t be possible to make the necessary changes for you.  It doesn’t help us if you arrive with a babe in arms and offer to set up your own travel cot instead – in our experience, most travel cots are wider than a standard wooden permanent one and don’t fit comfortably in the suite bedroom.
