The Shepherd’s Rest: A unique experience on the banks of Loch Lomond, our shepherd’s hut is a small wooden hut on wheels, designed to reflect the traditional shelters used by shepherds as they watched their flocks out on the hillside. Our hut is fully en suite and has under-floor heating, with a cosy double bed tucked away at one end and a digital radio with iPod dock.
£70 per night, including a large, hot breakfast hamper served in the hut.
* The Shepherd’s Rest has restricted headroom. This is due to the traditional design of the hut. The bed has a standard UK double mattress. This lies widthways at one end of the hut. Guests taller than about 190cm / 6″ 3′ will not be able to lie full stretch on the bed.
Single occupancy: We can normally offer a discount of £20 off the normal room rate except for British public holiday weekends. Holiday dates in Scotland vary greatly. Please ask us and we will confirm availability and rate for you.
Third night half price: Stay in the Shepherd’s Rest hut or the Shepherd’s Rooms apartment for three nights and your third night will be half price – that’s a saving of £40 in the Apartment or £35 in the hut. Stay six nights and your third and sixth nights are both half price – saving you up to £80. Please note this excludes single occupancy stays as these are already discounted by £20 per night. The offer only applies to stays on consecutive nights.
For all stays on all dates:
- All babies and children under 5 sleeping in a cot or ReadyBed are free of charge.
- All advance bookings are subject to a deposit of £20 per night.
- We welcome guests travelling with small, well-behaved dogs in the Shepherd’s Rest (not in the house, sorry). We make a cleaning charge of £10 per booking.
- The rates quoted on this page always include your breakfast.
- We can provide packed lunches at £5 per guest – please book these in advance.
We welcome enquiries from travel agents and other organisations that specialise in creating itineraries for walking holidays. However, we are not able to make any exceptions regarding our requirement for a £20 deposit per room, per night to secure all bookings.
